Update--Dreamweaver

Hello fellow classmates!

I hope everyone is enjoying spring time and the awesome weather.

I have been having difficulties with adding background pictures and graphics to my webpage I am developing. I keep hearing to save pictures and text to different files, but it still is complicated for me. I guess I am not that technical. To solve my dilema I am cosistently reviewing the tutorials on Lynda.com striving to understand these concepts of dreamweaver. It is a challenge, but I will eventually get it, I just have to keep my head up and practicing!

Have a great week everyone!

Images in Dreamweaver

Last night I struggled termendously trying to add an image to Dreamweaver. I am not really your technical type I guess, but I will keep trying. I did save it and open the file, but the image can only show in Dreamweaver, why that is I have no idea. Any suggestions please let me know. I will keep playing around with Dreamweaver, I really want to learn how to use this software and will eventually learn it, so please bare with me everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Have a great day and week everyone!

HTML in Dreamweaver

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is having a good semester so far in TWC 421. It has been getting a little stressful for me, running a business and going to college at the same time is not easy, but where is the fun in easy, challenges keep life exciting!

I am starting to understand Dreamweaver a little bit, I just took some modules off of Lynda.com in html and how it works. I must admit, when I first opened Dreamweaver it looked more like Nightmareweaver, but it actually is a great software. If you are a programmer you can write a webpage with the codes or you can go to designer mode and let Dreamweaver do all that code stuff for you. Any guesses which mode I went with? That is right, Designer Mode Rules! All I do is type and Dreamweaver does all that "Nightmareweaver (code stuff)" for me.

It really is easy to use, the key is just learning how the software works, what it does in the background and you will be on your way to creating your first website. I am excited about this program and am looking forward to these modules on Lynda.com to learn new things I can do.

That is my update, thanks for reading everyone, and have a great rainy day!

Projet Proposal

Lastnight I completed my project proposal for class regarding the Dreamweaver software on Lynda.com. When I write I am not really a note taker or organizer of the document I am producing. However, I did do my research on the software which increased my excitement for the learning experience, in return my project proposal was pretty easy to write. I think the key to writing any document is to try to get excited about the topic, this helps me for any project.

I didn't spend that much time in preparation, just in research and writing. When it comes to writing, I just write, I can organize the document later in my final draft.

I didn't have any problems or concerns with the project proposal, in fact, I enjoyed writing it!

Introduction

Here it is...my first blog!

I am looking forward to this project and learning experience.

My purpose of this blog is application.

I am a small business owner in the making. About five months ago after being let go from one of my jobs in hospitality, due to the whole recession deal (I am so tired of having to mention that word), I decided to venture out on my own with the connections I gained through my past work experiences, and so far it has been good.

In my project for this course I have chosen option number two and planning on learning how to create a website through lynda.com tutorials. I plan on sharing with you all what I am learning and how I plan on implementing this knowledge into my business.

I highly encourage comments and suggestions from my TWC 421 fellow classmates too, this will help me learn even more from real life experiences and/or great ideas you may have.

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction to my blogging site, I am looking forward to getting to know all of you in this course.
